My Tuning in Practice
How much quiet time do you allow yourself on a daily basis? How much of the 24 hours in a day, do you sit quietly, tuned into your mind, emotions, feelings, body and heart?
I know oh too well how consumed we can get by the external world which constantly demands our time and attention.
Tuning into Self helps us to know when things are not flowing as they should. It helps us know when we need to:
1. Give certain aspects of our being more attention.
2. De-clutter and let go
3. Refine and refresh
4. Speed up
5. Slow down
6. Simply be still
Tuning into yourself on a daily basis is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and inevitably to others. It allows you to be present and in a centered space to handle anything.
This practice will help you be more balanced and grounded, ensuring that you are your best self in each moment.
My Practice:
1. Decide on your time everyday, whatever works best for you, morning, midday afternoon or evening.
2. Choose a quiet, uninterrupted space such as your room, or a garden, whatever serves you best
3. Sit quietly and allow your attention to go within
4. Give attention (without judging but simply observing) sequentially to what you might be feeling in your body, emotions, heart and mind (in no particular order)
5. If you feel inclined, after, make a note of anything that comes up that you feel you need to address specifically.
6. Do this as many times during the day as you feel necessary
I have been doing this practice for a number of years now and I can say without reservation that it has helped me to stay anchored and centered despite what was happening around me. It has made me more aware of myself and how I was being in any given moment.
If you feel inclined, give it a try for a week or more and send me a message as to how it has impacted your day to day experience.
Peace, Love & Light!
